NL Single Draw Sunday Tournament
The Sunday nl Single Draw poker tournament at PokerStars is the biggest of the week and the biggest you’ll find anywhere online. It has a $215 buy in and there is $5,000 guaranteed. It starts at 15:15 Eastern Time and last weeks tournament got 37 runners in total. You can play the $5k GRTD at PokerStars on Sunday every week. You’ll usually find a couple of the Pokerstars pro’s playing in the $215 Single Draw tournament. The biggest name in last weeks tourney was George Danzer who’s a member of the PokerStars Germany Team and a bit of a mixed game specialist. Danzer has managed multiple WSOP cashes in both Holdem and Omaha Hi Lo. He came 3rd in the 2006 World Heads-Up Poker Championship for $31,000 and in 2009 he won the PokerStars WCOOP $320 Pot Limit Omaha event for a very nice $109,000.
Minor Single Draw 2-7 Tournaments
Aside from the big Sunday no limit Single Draw tournament at PokerStars they also run some daily tournaments that are worth checking out. These usually get between 25 and 50 runners depending on the time of day and buy in. The lower stakes MTTs usually get more runners than the $22 or the $16.50.

Pokerstars also run 3 NL Single Draw freeroll tournaments every day. The Single Draw freeroll is called Ptolemy’s NL 2-7 Freeroll and if you manage to get a top spot then you qualify for the one of the weekly $2,000 freerolls on offer.
The Single Draw freerolls at PokerStars usually top out at the maximum of 7,000 runners so you’ll need to make the top 56 if you want a seat in the weekly $2,000 freeroll. If you do win a seat you’ll get a ticket placed into your account and you will have to register for the weekly $2k manually.
