Arnaud Mattern is a French professional poker player and member of Team Pokerstars. He apprently quit university to persue a career in Backgammon but once he realised that poker was where the big money was he switched over and given his sucessful results it looks like a good decision. WSOP Career

Arnaud Mattern has managed a total of 4 World Series of Poker money finishes in his career to date. The first came in 2007 in the $2,500 No Limit Holdem event in which he finished 83rd for a small yet respectable $4,310. His biggest ever cash in the WSOP came in the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) in 2009 when he took home a $42,729 prize for 23rd place in the Main Event.

EPT Career

After his first cash in the WSOP in 2007 Arnaud went straight to the European Poker Tour Prague event and won it for a whopping $1,038,010 in prize money. Not a bad year by anyones standards. He then followed up this EPT success with 4 more cashes including a 5th place finish for $91,230 at the Warsaw leg of the European Poker Tour (also known as the Polish Open).

To date Arnaud Mattern’s total tournament winnings are just over the $1,300,000 mark. Aranud plays little online poker but has been known to dabble in the $3/$6 no limit Holdem games that run at Pokerstars. You can usually find him playing the WCOOP and SCOOP main events as well.
