Maridu Mayrink, born in Rio de Janeiro, is currently a member of Team Pokerstars. Maridu started out in life by getting a Sociology degree and then becoming a script writer for Brazillian TV. She had always had an interest in poker and combined her writing skills with her passion for poker and started a poker blog which became an instant hit. Maridu has 3 other World Series of Poker cashes as well alongside her biggest ever cash to date finishing 43rd for $20,377 in the 2009 London leg of the Pokerstars sponsored European Poker Tour or EPT for short. In total her live event winnings are in excess of $60,000, her online winnings are substantially more impressive.

She also plays the nightly and weekly guaranteed multi table tournaments on a regular basis in which she has managed to accumulate winnings of just over $164,000.
