Nicola Fedeli Poker Player Profile
Nicola Fedeli is one of six members of the Italian Pokerstars Team which includes Fedeli, Dario Minieri, Luca Pagano, Elena Ichim, Simone Guggeri and Pier Paolo Fabretti. Fedeli himself is a former banker turned professional poker player after watching poker for the first time on TV. He has managed three major cashes so far in his poker career including one in the first Italian Poker Tour (ITP) event ever which was held in San Remo. Nicola hasn’t managed to make an impression on the World Series of Poker or the European Poker Tour yet but his promise at the table and new Pokerstars sponsorship means he should get the chance in the near future, especially if his record in the IPT continues.
Live Poker Career
Fedeli has managed three major cashes so far in his live poker career. The first of which came in 2007 at the Italian Championship of Texas Holdem, also known as the Venice Poker Open. Fedeli took down a final table finish ending up 7th for a total of $3,095 in prize money. Following that success he managed a cash in a circuit event in Portose Slovenia which netted him $4,468 for 3rd place. Nicola also managed to take advantage of the newly formed Italian Poker Tour sponsored by Pokerstars. He came in 10th place at the first ever IPT event at San Remo which had a 2,000 Euro buy in. Finishing in 10th place won him $7,794. You can expect to see Nicola Fedeli playing most, if not all, of the up coming IPT events and possibly some EPT events as well this year.
Just before the start of day 1a of the Italian Poker Tour event in Nova Gorica Fedeli was being described as ‘one to watch’ by quite a few members of the press, unfortunately he didn’t make it past the first day but you can be sure he’ll be back later on in season 1 of the ITP with a few more deep finishes and big money cashes.
General Interests
Fedeli isn’t just into poker, even though it looks like he has a promising career ahead of him. He also owns a part share in a wine business as well as having a very keen interest in martial arts particularly Judo which he has been practicing for over 9 years. Nicola has gone on record saying he loves Pokerstars, all his family play on the site and he can’t wait to take advantage of the Team Pokerstars opportunity he has been given.
