Live Poker Career
Vlads first ever live tournament result of note came in 2008 when he got 2nd place at the No Limit Holdem Black Sea VIP Poker Festival which has a $3,000 buy in. For coming in 2nd Valid took down a nice $22,087 in prize money. Soon after this Vlad manage another big cash when he came 6th in the 2,000 Euro No Limit Holdem event at EPT Prague. This won him a little more than his previous cash, $25,143.
Since then Vlad has cashed in the Main Event of the European Poker Tour San Remo coming 46th and taking home $20,168. This tournament had a 5,000 Euro buy in. Given his recent successes it seems very likely that we’ll see Vald Zguba playing in quite a few of this years (2010) World Series of Poker events, some more European Poker Tour events and maybe even the odd event on the UK and Ireland Poker Tour.
His live tournament career has started well and he’s being tipped for a big score in 2010. Joining team Pokerstars should allow him to play more live events so expect a deep finish from Zguba in a major tournament soon.
