UKIPT satellites only run at PokerStars.com who are the main sponsor of the tour and have exclusive rights to coverage and online satellites to UKIPT events. The UK and Ireland Poker Tour has been tipped to become the biggest UK poker tour in coming years taking over from the GUKPT. There are currently eight events scheduled with a ninth event in Scotland expected to be added in the coming months. The tour kicks of in Galway Ireland and finish up at the UKIPT Main Event which is combined with the European Poker Tour London tournament. If you do manage to win one of the events on the UK and Ireland Poker tour then you will automatically win a seat to EPT London. How To Satellite Into UK and Ireland Poker Tour
If you want to satellite into any of the UK and Ireland Poker Tour events then you need to have an account at PokerStars online poker room. This is easy enough to set up and new players can get up to a $600 bonus. Having said that if you just want to play the satellites then the bonus shouldn’t matter too much to you. Once you have an account at PokerStars to find the UKIPT Satellites all you have to do is load up the lobby, log in, find the tab which says ‘Tourney’ then hit the ‘Satellite’ tab. This now lists all of the satellites which are currently running at PokerStars. You can then filter them by using date, game, limit, buy in and choose not to see tournaments which are running or completed. If you filter by date then you can see what’s starting soon, there’s quite a long list of satellites to various different events so look carefully in the list while scrolling down. The UKIPT satellites are in bold and purple font.

Enter UKIPT Tournaments
If you already have an account with PokerStars and you want to buy into an event on the schedule directly then you can do so online. To enter a UKIPT tournament online you need to email PokerStars support (support@pokerstars.com) and tell them which event you would like to enter. They will then remove the money from your online poker account and buy you into the tournament. There are however a couple of problems with this; the first being that the exchange rate they use is always rubbish so you end up paying about £20 more than you would if you bought in at the casino. The second problem being you have to pay the full buy in when you could get in via a UKIPT Satellite at PokerStars.com for under $10!
